Fantasy Football SuperFlex Devy Mock Draft: Round 2

Fantasy Player: George Pickens

Last week we provided round one of a fantasy football industry Devy SuperFlex mock draft led by our devy League Winners staff. To read round one, click here.

Now let’s check out the results for round two!

2.01 Bryce Young QB Alabama

Drafted by Kevin Coleman – Fantasy Pros @Daboys_22

When the second round came back to me I was surprised to see Bryce Young still on the board. For some reason, we have seen his value drop over the off-season; but again, being that this is a fantasy football SuperFlex, I just grabbed the value.

2.02 George Pickens WR Georgia

Drafted by Brandon Lejeune – The Devy Deep Dive Podcast @DevyDeepDive

I’ve been a Pickens truther for quite some time. Don’t let his ACL tear defer you from drafting him. Not many receivers possess his physicality and playmaking ability. Pickens falling down ranks could be a great buying opportunity.

2.03 TreVeyon Henderson RB Ohio State

Drafted by Cory Pereira – Breakout Finder @FF_Guitarist

I don’t usually love drafting true freshmen with this level of capital, but TreVeyon breaks the mold with his tantalizing skillset. The situation, pedigree, and talent are too much to ignore, making him the ultimate upside pick in the 2nd round. Drafting Henderson here doesn’t come without risk, but there’s a possibility this is the cheapest he will ever be in fantasy football.

2.04 Chris Olave WR Ohio State

Drafted by The League Winners Staff – @FFLeagueWinners

Chris Olave surprisingly returned for his senior season. Olave is a solid all-around player who can take the top off any defense. He doesn’t have the alpha size, but his production combined with a 20.2 breakout age should bring along solid draft capital and fantasy football potential.

2.05 Zach Evans RB TCU

Drafted by Tom Helles – The Dynasty Lounge @punyhuman_

Zach Evans is a former 5-star recruit who flashes high-end athleticism in all phases of the game. He can hit the hole quickly, is elusive in tight spaces, and is a “take it to the house” threat at any time. I expect him to break out after a shortened Covid year at TCU.

2.06 Jermaine Burton WR Georgia

Drafted by Brandon Haye – The League Winners @hayeb3

I think we have only seen the start of how good Burton can be. With a steady QB all season and the injury to Pickens, I see Burton having a breakout year. His route running combined with the speed to separate from defenders makes Burton an exciting weapon heading into his sophomore season.

2.07 Eric Gray RB Oklahoma

Drafted by Joe O’Leary – The League Winnners @TheHQNerd

Eric Gray moves from Tennessee to Oklahoma for his junior season. Gray is a talented running back that can be used as a weapon all over the field. He displays solid burst and is a plus receiver out of the backfield. Eric Gray’s devy stock could go through the roof in Lincoln Riley’s fast paced offense. Gray has a real chance at day two draft capital in next year’s draft.

2.08 Caleb Williams QB Oklahoma

Drafted by Dynasty PJ – Dynasty Nerds @mastapj

My reasoning for this pick is simple. Williams is the top quarterback recruit in the class and he is going to a Lincoln Riley-led offense. Riley’s past three starting quarterbacks – Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray, and Jalen Hurts – have all been picked in the top two rounds of the NFL draft, with Baker and Kyler going first overall. This gives Williams every chance at being a high draft pick in the NFL and therefore a steal at this point in the draft.

2.09 Kendall Milton RB Georgia

Drafted by Sam Crampton – Dynasty Nerds @DevyCramps

Milton, a 5-star recruit that will be eligible in 2023, showed some flashes in limited opportunity at Georgia this year. Once Zamir White is gone, Milton’s value is bound to shoot up as he takes over the backfield in Athens.

2.10 Malik Willis QB Liberty

Drafted by Brian Craighead – The League Winners @vandygrad92

Despite starting only one year at QB for Liberty, Willis is starting to creep up into the first round of NFL mocks. The dual-threat QB combined 2250 passing yards with 944 rushing yards in 2020. He’s a little raw but there’s real NFL talent with Malik Willis.

2.11 Rakim Jarrett WR Maryland

Drafted by Britt Sanders – Breakout Finder @TheFFSandman

A player I am over the moon acquiring in the late second round here. A rare combination of size, speed, and athleticism. Rakim Jarrett is next in line to take that big step of the 2023 wide receiving class.

2.12 Quentin Johnston WR TCU

Drafted by Michael Nelson – Dynasty League Football @aNellytics

Quentin Johnston has the potential to develop into an NFL star. He’s 6’4″ 193 lbs with high-level speed and athleticism. It’s rare to see someone of his size get drawn-up screens and end arounds. And even with that, he averaged 22.1 Yards Per Reception on decent volume. That’s explosiveness right there. A 23.5% wDOM is also fantastic as a true freshman.
